I'm new to it and I don't do that many songs anyway, so don't expect much. I'll mention any I do here, but it could take a while. My first song is seven minutes long and in three days I managed only to get it exported as an OGG and do the first twenty-five seconds of it. So, any requests? I just might feel up to it.

It's hard to chart. I've still only got the first minute of seven charted. \(0.o)/

When you get good at it, you'll be able to chart freakishly quickly. I've charted 2 minute songs in 5 minutes before.

Also, my hint to you: USE SLOW-MOTION PLAYBACK.

I do. A7X is pretty bad about making it hard to hear though.

Squeeze makes songs that require slow-mo playback. Grrrrrr...

I'm now at 4:30 of my first custom being 7:01 I'm almost there, but now, all my catalog entries are useless! The style of the song just changed. I'm pretty much starting from scratch.

The key to a successful chart is correct BPM. As long as the notes are synced, the chart will be playable, and the key to syncing notes is syncing BPM.

That is my advice of the day.

And DON'T use freetar.

what is freetar?

It is more of a beginner's version of charting. It's about as effective of the original FOF's built in editor. Which wasn't very good.

Well, I just use EoF, so, not much of a problem.

I now announce that my chart of Sidewinder is complete, though imperfect. I'll edit tomorrow, but I need to figure out how to put it on FOF. Could somebody PM me instructions on that, please? Otherwise, my first custom is complete!

Just put it into your songs folder. EOF makes it automatically playable.

Oh, cool. I just have to get back to the clubhouse tomorrow, then.
